This 7 year old Colonial Concepts home, complete with two car log garage and a large log storage building, exhibited all of the signs of a neglected finish and had turned black with mould and dirt. Prior to purchasing the home the potential owners called on Spotlight Home and Lifestyle to assess the damage and recommend a solution.
Once purchased, the new owners engaged Spotlight Home and Lifestyle to return this magnificent lakeside home to its original glory and ensure that their investment lasted a lifetime.

What We Did:
- Covered and protected all windows, doors, deck, shrubs etc.
- Cleaned and prepped existing stain to remove dirt, pollen, mould and to etch the surface to ensure maximum adhesion of the new stain
- Stained home and outbuildings using same brand and type of stain as original to ensure compatibility and colour match
- Cleaned and prepped existing stain on the decks to remove dirt, pollen, mould and to etch the surface to ensure maximum adhesion of the new stain
- Sanded all of the decking to completely remove the original stain and restore the natural beauty of the cedar
- Applied two coats of an eco friendly stain to protect the wood and bring out the natural characteristics of the cedar
Additional Items:
- Custom fabricated a new set of wooden dock stairs to replace the originals
- Widened the boat slip to accommodate a larger boat
- Cut and removed several dead trees from the property
