The vision for this improvement was to expand the size of the second story bathroom to accommodate a sizeable shower and a vanity while retaining the original claw tub. This renovation presented some unique challenges given the Scandinavian scribed log structure. Nothing in this type of construction is plumb, level or square! Another challenge was the location of the spiral staircase to the mezzanine relative to the only possible location for the bathroom door.
Our renovation turned out beautifully and went without a hitch. Garnet and his crew and trades respected us, our home, our movement within our home and the safety of our four children. The attention to detail was a welcome relief.
