The vision for this project was to capture an unused second story deck and bring it into the building envelope through an addition. This would create another bedroom and the space for a bathroom on the second floor. A secondary need was to remove the cedar shake cladding that had turned black over the years and bring this home back to its original, prominent glory.
Through significant engineering and the willingness of the home owner to make a bold color choice this home is truly a stand out in the area.
Our renovation turned out beautifully and went without a hitch. Garnet and his crew and trades respected us, our home, our movement within our home and the safety of our four children. The attention to detail was a welcome relief.
